Photograph Release Agreement

For good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, I hereby grant to Salt Lake County, its designees, legal representatives, successors and assigns, and those acting under its permission or upon its authority, the absolute and unqualified right and permission to copyright (in its own name or otherwise), reproduce, publish, distribute and otherwise use or exploit the photograph that I have submitted or entered for the Len of Magna Photo Contest (hereinafter the “Photograph”).

 

I hereby warrant that I am the owner of all right, title, and interest in and to all negatives, prints, or other reproductions of the Photograph, and I hereby assign to Salt Lake County any right, title, or interest that I may have or be deemed to have therein. I further warrant that no other person, including any subjects of the Photograph, holds or retains any interest in the Photograph or the contents thereof.

 

This authorization and consent includes any use of the Photograph without regard to any distortion or alteration in character or form and any composite, stunt, or comic use caused by optical illusion, distortion, alteration, retouching or by any other method, whether intentional or otherwise. The use and exploitation hereunder may be in any medium now or thereafter known or developed for illustration, promotion, advertising, trade, or any other purpose whatsoever, whether accompanied by printed matter or otherwise. I understand that I will not receive any further consideration from Salt Lake County for its acceptance or use of the Photograph as provided herein.

 

I waive any right that I may have to inspect and approve the finished product or copy that may be used in connection with the finished product or the use to which it may be applied.

 

I hereby waive, release, and discharge Salt Lake County from any claim, demand, action, or suit which I may have or which may be derived through me for libel, defamation, invasion of privacy or any violation of any right to publicity, or any other right which I may have arising out of the publication or use of the Photograph.
